Not sure if this is actually the correct place to post this sort of thing so I'm putting it up both on this community and Dragon Con Rooms in hopes that somebody lets it through. I would like to spread the word that I am available to DJ at room parties and other con related events next year. I have a massive music collection and I use Ableton Live for laptop mixing. I am also a dancer who is into costuming. All I would need are speakers and an RCA jack to get your party jumping. I have all sorts of music spanning from nerdy to sexy to classic to poppy to glitchy to noisy to hard and beyond. Just tell me what you like and i can most likely accommodate. Есть такой английский футбольный клуб Leeds United. Говорят был некогда одним из крупных британских клубов.
Был такой человек Брайан Клаф. Говорят один из легендарных футбольных тренеров Британии.
Когда-то Лидс и Брайан существовали вместе. Всего 44 дня. Говорят, это единственный клуб с которым у него не получилось работать.
А еще говорят, что наставником Брайан Клаф был исключительным. Он взялся тренировать «Дерби Каунти», вытащил команду из второго дивизиона в первый, а потом сделал чемпионом Англии. Потом отправился в «Ноттингем Форест», вытащил команду из второго дивизиона в первый, сделал чемпионом Англии, а впоследствии выиграл два Кубка чемпионов. Он отправлял в нокдаун Роя Кина, подкалывал Алекса Фергюсона и призывал отрезать яйца Эрику Кантона. Он критиковал женский футбол, политику национальной футбольной ассоциации и прическу Дэвида Симэна. Он оставил после себя столько бессмертных фраз, что хватило бы на томик в пару сотен страниц. И если были слова, которые невозможно представить в устах Брайана Клафа, то это – «без комментариев». Сегодня с ним часто сравнивают Жозе Моуринью – дескать, такой же красивый, бодрый и язык подвешен. Но даже самопровозглашенному Особенному не хватило наглости заявить, что тренерская работа для него просто семечки, тогда как Клаф выдал спич подобного содержания на первой же пресс-конференции. «Дисциплина, тренировки, работа с игроками, – все это для меня не проблема», – заявил только-только принятый на работу тридцатилетний наставник «Хартлпула».
Я вообще это к чему? Просто на экраны вышел совершенно особенный фильм, который расслазывает о краткосрочной работе Клафа в Leeds United.
Футбольным фанатам, а так же тем клю любит хорошее британское кино к просмотру обязательно!

I woke up Sunday to find everything covered in thick frost and the sunrise giving some beautiful effects, especially nice when paired with the fog that refused to burn away till almost noon.
I'm still learning lots about my new camera, and one thing I've learned, that I wasn't sure yet was true: automatic settings are only useful in very specific situations. I already knew this, but up until Sunday, the automatic settings on my new Nikon D3000 seemed to be much more intuitive than I ever expected. The 18-55 lens that came with the camera completely failed on Sunday, though. The viewscreen showed perfectly fine photos, but what uploaded to my computer was washed out to the point of impossible to use in most cases. Fortunately, I switched to my 80-200 telephoto lens. Some of the photos with it were washed out, too, but some were okay. I did end up with some interesting effects on a few of them, once I played with them some.
Here're the ones I like (click each one to enlarge):
 
 
light version/darkened version on the above two shots...not sure which I like better. The lighter one is more true to the actual lighting, but the darkened adds more interesting contrast.

Just in time for the holidays! lol. Saw a photo of this and just really wanted to draw it. Aside from the sexy aspects, the high contrast of black and white latex is good subject matter for pen or brush and ink.

IN YOUR FACE!
I had always presupposed that my drawing in class was a way of maintaining a certain amount of preoccupation when I get bored. Basically I'll doodle as way to keep from REALLY acting out.
Seems science has got my back on this one. Doodling, whether drawing geometric shapes or cowboys, is your brains way of staying active when not being challenged. Doodling keeps your brain from slipping into full on day dreaming, which is much more intensive.
